Starmer seems to believe that if a policy hurts Reform UK, it’s a good one.
While failing Prime Minister Keir Starmer has had a temporary respite from his polling lows over his refusal to go to war in Iran, his chaotic ‘U-turn’ government knows that the right-wing Reform UK party is a real threat to Labour’s power.
So, they continuously change the rules to harm Nigel Farage’s chances and to boost theirs.
So, today (25), the government announced that it will ‘temporarily prevent’ political parties from accepting cryptocurrency donations.

Politico reported:
“Communities Secretary Steve Reed told MPs he will immediately act on a recommendation in an officially-commissioned review into foreign financial interference in U.K. politics published earlier Wednesday.
The review, authored by former senior civil servant Philip Rycroft, warned the dangers to transparency from the emerging tech are ‘unacceptable’ and could leave election regulators struggling to manage an ‘unpredictable’ donation route.”
‘Everything they’re trying to do is to stop the incredible progress of Reform.’

“The moratorium on the currency will be seen as a blow to Nigel Farage’s fundraising efforts. His Reform UK party is the only mainstream U.K. political outfit to have courted donations in crypto.”
The government’s Representation of the People Bill, currently in parliament, will be amended to pause crypto donations.
“Rycroft, the former chief of Britain’s Brexit department, said in his report a moratorium should not be seen as a ‘prelude to an outright and permanent ban, rather an interlude in which the regulatory environment can catch up with the reality of cryptoassets’.”
And this is not going to be the only change to hurt Reform’s fundraising.
The report proposes tighter rules around political donations with limits on contributions from overseas Britons.
