They’re back!
Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper hosted CNN’s New Year’s Eve party in New York City on Wednesday evening and into Thursday morning.
Andy Cohen had a bit too much to drink and went on a drunken rant against former New York City Mayor Eric Adams after the New Year’s Eve ball dropped in Times Square.
“I’d like to say, watching the final moments of Mayor Adams’ chaotic, horrible — ” Cohen slurred as Anderson Cooper interrupted him and said, “don’t!”
“I just want to say, I mean he’s got his pardons, he’s pardoned,” a visibly drunk Cohen added.
“No! I’m just saying! Great! You got your pardons, go off in the sunset!” he said.
“We’ll, we’ll fiddle with what we have, with what you’ve left us with,” he said.
Anderson Cooper and actor BJ Novak repeatedly tried to stop Andy Cohen from ranting about politics.
“You’ve pardoned your way through four years, and all the clubs, we’ll see you there,” Cohen said as he lunged at the camera.
Anderson Cooper tried to calm him down, but failed.
“I just want to say, goodbye, Mayor Adams, you did it, you did it, you did it! Didn’t you?” he added.
“But I will say this, I think he may have dented the rat population,” Cohen said.
“Oh no!” Anderson Cooper said.
“I think he got rid of some of the rats, but isn’t that a metaphor of sorts?” Cohen added. “Let’s call it as it is, honestly! But anyway… but guess what? It is 2026 and there are less rats!” Cohen said.
