Aftyn Behn, who currently serves as a Democrat representative for Tennessee’s 51st House District and is running in a special election for Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District, broke her silence after previous remarks she made about the city and people she wants to represent came back to haunt her.
As The Gateway Pundit reported on Thursday, Behn shared just how much she despises the city she wants to represent.
“I have been heavily involved with the Nashville mayoral race because I hate the city.”
“I hate the bachelorettes. I hate the pedal taverns. I hate country music. I hate all of the things that make Nashville, apparently, an ‘it’ city to the rest of the country, but I hate it.”
She then blasted the tourists who help boost the Nashville economy.
“I’m that girl at the airport, that all these bachelorettes are giddy walking out in their two-tone colored pantoon pink shirts, and they walk out and they’re like ‘Oh my God Nashville, it’s so much fun.’”
Aftyn Behn– the Democrat nominee for the upcoming TN07 special election– says that she despises Nashville, the city that she’s running to represent in Congress:

Behn responded to the righteous outrage in a video on Thursday evening. She opened by whining that she has bags under her eyes because the GOP is turning its attention toward her before getting weird.
Behn later said the bachelorette reference was in reference to the ABC reality show “The Bachelorette,” which sometimes angers her. Then, in an attempt to prove her Nashville bona fides, she said she cried “no less than ten times” at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
She literally said she cried several times at the Country Music Hall of Fame. If true, this is not exactly a stable individual.
Who wants someone like this representing them in Congress?

And I’m sure you’ve seen the commercials, I’m sure you’ve seen the onslaught of ads. And today, the Republicans have decided that they’re going to start this narrative that me, the representative who represents downtown Nashville, doesn’t like the city.
Now I always want Nashville to be better…But, sure, I get mad at the Bachelorette sometimes, I get mad at the pedal taverns.
You are talking to someone who has cried no less than ten times in the Country Music Hall of Fame. The girl who goes to the Ryman to hang out.
No, no, we’re not even going to go there. We are so close to winning this race, which is why these rumors are getting even more wild.
