Vice President JD Vance delivers a powerful message to conservatives during his speech at Ole Miss, urging them to stop surrendering to leftist intimidation and to take bold action for America’s future.

Vice President J.D. Vance delivered a powerful and unapologetic message to conservatives during his visit to the University of Mississippi on Wednesday night, urging Americans on the Right to stand firm, take action, and stop allowing fear of the left’s reaction to dictate their decisions.

Appearing at the TPUSA event at Ole Miss’ campus in Oxford, Mississippi, Vance took the stage following Erika Kirk’s heartfelt address.

Speaking to a crowd of college students, Vance encouraged young conservatives to stop sitting on the sidelines.

“If you care about this country as I know all of you do, don’t just complain about social media—get up and get involved in a campaign,” Vance said.

“If you want a better policy outcome, even from an administration you voted for, then get out and get involved in making your voice heard.”

During the Q&A session, one attendee asked a challenging question about the use of federal power, wondering how conservatives could prevent future administrations from abusing it.

Vance’s answer was a call to action.

Questioner:
I’m just wondering — well, it’s not necessarily something you did wrong, but it’s what someone else could do wrong.

Let’s say we get a complete tyrant in office. Let’s say we’re having, let’s say, Turning Point USA is having a huge protest against something really bad that we don’t like. Let’s say a president is saying that it’s getting violent… What is the difference between what you’re doing, and how could we prevent someone from abusing that power?

JD Vance:
Look, I understand where the question is coming from, and I think it’s a fair question. It’s going to sound like I’m being sarcastic, and it really is not meant in any offense.

But when you talk about what another administration could do — to take a wild hypothetical example, totally off the top of my head — what if Joe Biden sent the Federal Bureau of Investigation to start arresting his political opponents?

Here’s something I want conservatives to remember. It’s an important part of my entire political philosophy: we cannot be afraid to do something because the left might do it in the future. The left is already going to do it regardless of whether we do it. That is the takeaway of the last 40 years.

In particular, if you look at what we’re doing — if Joe Biden wanted to deploy the National Guard to a red state, in a place where the murder rate was twice what it is in third-world countries, to actually go after murderers — that would be a great use of the National Guard. Unfortunately, I don’t think Joe Biden would use it like that. What I’m worried about, frankly, is what the far left already did with American law enforcement — and that is the thing that we have to prevent against.

The answer to that question is: you make sure the people who did it face penalties for using federal power against American citizens. By the way, that’s exactly what we’re trying to do. Thank you.
