Former Romanian presidential candidate Călin Georgescu, who won the first round of the presidential elections last year before being banned by the globalist cartel running the country, made a public call this week for unity, peace, and faith in God, praising President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin for their ongoing efforts to bring an end to global conflict.

Speaking outside a local police station near Bucharest, where he remains under judicial supervision, Georgescu addressed a big crowd of supporters gathered in his defense.

Despite legal restrictions, the Romanian statesman delivered a message of hope and conviction: “I salute the efforts made by Presidents Trump and Putin in recent times for peace. I am convinced that through wisdom, reason, and pragmatism, peace will triumph in the world,” Georgescu said. “And I am equally convinced that the long-awaited peace in our region will be signed in Bucharest.”

Georgescu, a former United Nations official and one-time presidential candidate in Romania, has long been an outspoken advocate for national sovereignty, traditional values, and the country’s Christian heritage.

His message of independence from globalist influence has earned him both strong public support and entrenched political opposition. Georgescu was widely seen as a leading contender in last year’s Romanian elections, that were abruptly canceled under controversial circumstances.

President Donald Trump condemned the decision at the time, calling it “a disgrace to democracy and to the will of the Romanian people.” Today, Georgescu remains under judicial control, facing restrictions that prevent him from leaving the country and limit his online communication,  measures his supporters and President Trump have both described as disproportionate, unfair, and politically motivated.

Georgescu also spoke openly about his faith and the moral foundation that guides his political beliefs.

He urged citizens to stay steadfast in their relationship with God and to remember that unity must be built on shared spiritual values: “We must remain unwavering in our faith in God,” Georgescu added. “Faith helps us overcome every obstacle.

We must build bridges of peace in easy times so our friends can cross them safely in hard times. That is the message I have for a political class that too often forgets that people must love one another, for Christ’s message was clear: ‘The Kingdom of God is within you.’”

In his remarks, Georgescu drew attention to recent visits by top U.S. officials to Jerusalem,  including President Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Secretary of State, calling it a “moving display of America’s respect for Christianity and for the Holy City.”

Despite the empowering and peace-centered tone of Georgescu’s address, much of the media chose to isolate a single remark: his statement that the peace agreement to end the war in Ukraine will be signed in Bucharest. That comment, taken out of the broader context of his appeal for unity under God, quickly became the headline across several Romanian outlets. Yet Georgescu’s message, seen in its entirety, is a call for moral courage, for nations to choose faith over fear, and for leaders to recognize that true peace begins in the hearts of people guided by divine purpose.

For many, his message echoes a larger global movement emphasizing faith, sovereignty, and peace through strength, values long championed by President Trump. As Georgescu concluded, “The best is yet to come. We must be united in God, for in Him lies our peace and our future.”
