Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) continued a Democrat trend of faceplanting on national television while trying to lie about the government shutdown they caused last week.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, the Schumer Shutdown took effect at 12:01 am on October 1 after two measures to avert the government shutdown failed in the Senate.
The measures needed 60 votes to pass. The GOP-backed measure failed to pass in a 55-45 vote – Rand Paul voted with the Democrats.
The Democrat Party and Paul decided to put the welfare of illegal aliens, surgeries for transgender minors, and more garbage ahead of keeping the government running.
What a disgrace.
Several more votes by the GOP have been held to reopen the government, but Democrats have held firm in their obstinacy.
On Wednesday, CNN’s Dana Bash surprisingly decided to stick to facts about the shutdown, pointing out Republicans were the ones continuously voting to keep the federal government open.
She then inquired how Pelosi could say the GOP was trying to shut down the government. Pelosi lied and claimed the Republican bill wasn’t clean before Bash interrupted and asked her to clarify.
Then Pelosi drew a total blank.
