Diddy: criminal appeal and dozens of civil lawsuits.

Diddy’s troubles are far from over.

As it was widely expected, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will appeal his criminal conviction and four-year prison sentence.

Diddy was sentenced Friday to four years and two months (50 months) in prison and fined $500,000 as a result of his conviction for prostitution charges.

After the sentencing — Diddy’s defense team now claims it has a strong case for an appeal. Between the year Diddy has already spent in prison and the credit he could receive for good behavior behind bars — he could be out in 2028.

New York Post reported:

“Attorneys for Sean “Diddy” Combs are planning to appeal after he was sentenced to more than four years in prison for transporting people across state lines for sexual encounters.

Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo said the team plans to file the notice of appeal ‘in the coming days’, calling both the trial and sentence flawed.

‘Both the guidelines calculation and the sentence took account of conduct for which Mr. Combs was acquitted by a jury’, Agnifilo told The Post. ‘We contend this amounts to legal error’.”

Judge Subramanian sentenced Diddy to 50 months in prison.

With Diddy having already spent over 12 months in jail, he could walk free in another three years, since there’s no parole in the federal system.

“Court records show the Bad Boy Records founder still faces nearly 70 active civil suits across the country, with claims ranging from sexual assault and battery to harassment and emotional abuse.

[…] The mounting lawsuits could cost Combs millions in legal fees on top of the $15 million experts estimate he’s already spent on his federal defense.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced to 50 months behind bars, which is just over four years, after being found guilty on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution.

Diddy has already served about 13 months in prison.
