A far-left Democrat senator got humiliated by U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi when he foolishly tried to smear Trump as being corrupt.

Bondi was invited to testify on Wednesday at the hearing on the Department of Justice’s 2026 budget request, but Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) wanted to use his questioning to paint Trump as vulnerable to foreign influences.

The Oregon senator demanded to know whether the President was compromised when a United Arab Emirates (UAE) investment firm funneled $2 billion into one of his cryptocurrencies last month.

Later in the month, the Trump administration eased restrictions on the UAE’s purchase of advanced American-made semiconductors for its artificial intelligence projects.

This move reversed a Biden-era policy, which banned the sale of AI-capable chips to the UAE and Saudi Arabia, allegedly due to national security concerns.

While there was no evidence of a quid pro quo, and the timing was likely a coincidence, Merkley immediately accused Trump of corruption.

“This sequence of events, where a foreign government asks for a big favor and we had previously banned these chips to the UAE because of the national security concerns,” Merkley began. “Then they buy $2 billion of the president’s coins, and then the president says, ‘We will buy these chips.’”

“Does this sequence of events concern you about foreign influence on the United States of America?” he asked.

However, Merkley failed to account for Bondi doing her homework before the hearing, especially regarding illegal alien crime in Oregon. Instead of playing the Oregon senator’s game, the Attorney General dropped a series of receipts that caught Merkley off guard.

“The foreign influence on America I would be concerned with if I were you is the Mexican national that resided in Oregon who we just arrested who had 384 lbs of methamphetamine,” she replied. “The foreign individual whom I would be concerned about if I were a senator from Oregon is the Honduran drug trafficker who was residing in Portland for distributing fentanyl.”

“The foreign national I would be concerned about if I were an Oregon Senator is the Mexican leader of a drug trafficking ring…Fentanyl, firearms, and fatal drug overdoses all in your state!”

Ouch!

But it got even worse for Merkley when he doubled down on the “foreign influence” lie. Bondi finally had enough and angrily tore into him.

“Senator, it is WIDELY offensive that you would accuse President Trump of not protecting American interests in our country when he is the president who has shut down our border,” she replied. “You are trying to play a gotcha question at a budget hearing when you have murders left and right in your sick state, and we are doing everything we can to help your liberal state and keep those citizens safe, all to play a gotcha question on Trump.”

WOWZERS. MUST SEE. This is what you call getting “OWNED” . Bondi unloads fire on Sen. Merkley saying “ You are trying to play a GOTCHA question at a BUDGET hearing when you have MURDERS left & right in YOUR SICK STATE & we are doing everything we can to help your LIBERAL STATE… pic.twitter.com/ykXeM4EGF9
