The corporate media’s latest smear job against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth completely blew up in their faces after he got wind of the story.
As TGP readers know, Democrats and the media have had their knives out for Hegseth ever since President Trump nominated him for the Defense Secretary position. The bogus Signal chat leak story and lies about him being a drunk are just a few examples.
On Wednesday, far-left CBS published a crazy story trying to make Hegseth look like a feminine narcissist. The outlet alleged that the Defense Secretary ordered a makeup studio installed in a room next to the Pentagon press briefing room to make it easier for him to prepare for television appearances.
CBS claimed that this decision would have cost several thousand dollars, but it was eventually scaled back. The outlet also alleged that an in-house construction crew renovated the adjacent green room earlier this year, furnishing it with a new chair and a large mirror with makeup lighting.
According to CBS, the room previously had minimal furnishings.
An angry Hegseth blew up the garbage smear job by CBS with an absolutely savage reply on X. He completely denied the story while suggesting something far more appealing to woke media.
“Totally fake story. No ‘orders’ and no ‘makeup’ — but whatever,” Hegseth wrote.
“We should have installed tampon machines in every men’s bathroom at DoD instead — the leftist ‘news’ media would have loved that,” he added.

The DOD also vociferously denied the story. They pointed out that there was no lighted mirror, the project did not cost thousands of dollars, and that the items added to the green room were not a makeup studio.
The items also came from existing inventory.

Let’s hope President Trump remains strong and tells the media to go to h*ll by continuing to stand by Hegseth. The pressure campaign to throw Hegseth to the wolves will only ramp up.
