Trump-hating actor Robert De Niro joined in on the leftist “No Kings” protests across the country with an in-person appearance in New York City and a recorded video message at a rally in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Organizers of the protests claim that millions gathered at 3,100 rallies across the US.
In his prerecorded message to rallygoers in Minnesota, De Niro applauded the violent rioters in Minneapolis, thanking them for showing “the power of nonviolent protests” and “bravery in the face of armed attack by government thugs,” which he said “ran them out of town.”
“Toast yourselves, pat yourselves on the back. Take a bow,” he said.
De Niro began his speech, whining, “Every morning, when I get up, I reach for my phone to look at the headlines of the day, and for some time now, I start every morning depressed about the latest outrage from our would-be king.” In other words, he’s just outright admitting he has a mental health problem.
“I mean, it’s amazing. Every f*cking day, there’s something new and crazy, but it’s different on this day because all over the country, in cities and towns and factories and on farms, North, South, East, West, millions of us are coming together to declare no kings,” he continued, decrying Trump as an “arrogant would-be King.”

You have shown the power of nonviolent protests. You have shown bravery in the face of armed attack by government thugs, and you stood together and ran them out of town. Toast yourselves, pat yourselves on the back. Take a bow.
But don’t take a break, because today and everything that has gone on before is just a start, a rehearsal for the big show that’s coming. You know, the arrogant would-be King is absolutely scared to death about losing his power and will do everything he can to hold on to it, without regard to legality, morality, humanity, nothing. We will face greater challenges down the road. For everything you’ve done, thank you, and now expect to be asked to do more. I know you will answer the call. Thank you.
De Niro also made an in-person appearance at the No Kings rally in New York City, with a less-than-three-minute-long, cough-filled speech, where the crazed actor nearly lost a battle with his script.
Through repeated struggles with reading, De Niro declared, “I support this movement 150%” and that “Trump has to be stopped.”
“They should be more afraid of us because we still believe in the core American values of justice, equality, decency, and kindness, because we’re going from the streets to the ballot box, and because we all deserve a country with no kings, no Trump,” he said.

The concept of no kings is a great rallying cry and a hugely successful and hugely successful as millions of us have answered the call. I support this movement 150%, but when the crowds are chanting no kings, what I’m really hearing, as we all know, is no Trump.
There have been other presidents who have, who have tasted— who have tested the constitutional limits of their power, but none have been such an ex— existential threat to our freedoms and security, none, except Trump. He must be stopped, and he must be stopped now. It’s time to say no to kings. It’s time to say no to Donald Trump. We’ve had enough. No King Trump, no unnecessary wars that rob our resources, sacrifice our brave servicemen and women and slaughter innocents. No corrupt leader enriching himself and the Epstein class buddies…
No taking away health care from our most vulnerable neighbors, no unaffordable groceries, no unaffordable energy, no unaffordable housing, and no inflation at its highest level since COVID. No government masked thugs shooting down our neighbors in the streets. Trump has to be stopped, and that’s what no kings is all about…
They’re bound to him by fear of losing their own jobs, their own power. It’s diabolical. How can this be happening? Look at the power of the no kings national uprising— look at the power of the no kings national uprising. Afraid of Trump? please! No, they should be more afraid of us because we still believe in the core American values of justice, equality, decency, and kindness, because we’re going from the streets to the ballot box, and because we all deserve a country with no kings, no Trump.
