A Tennessee mother and her kids were a victim of a carjacking earlier this week at a Burger King in Memphis.

The mom, Kristin Gillia, was with her three children at Burger King. After seeing the order was missing fries, she went back inside the restaurant to correct the order. Two of the children were left in the car.

Both the kids that were left in the vehicle were tossed out by the accused. According to Memphis Police, Gillia’s foot was allegedly run over by the suspects as they fled the scene. She has a broken ankle and is wearing a boot to help in the healing process.

The kids appeared to be unharmed.

Gillia’s vehicle was found parked close by, according to police.

The two suspects were identified as Antonio Alexander, 25, and Alexis Kearney, 31. They were both caught and taken into custody. Kearney was charged with carjacking, while Alexander had charges including theft of a firearm, auto theft, and aggravated assault.

Fox 13 Reported:

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — FOX13 talked to the mother who was carjacked while she was with her kids Monday night outside of a Burger King in Memphis.

She is now in a boot with a broken ankle.

That’s because, police alleged, the suspects ran over her foot while they drove off in her 2007 Ford Edge.

The mother, identified as Kristin Gillia, said she stopped at the Burger King on Winchester Road with her three children. She said she ran back inside the fast food restaurant after realizing one of her kids was missing fries — leaving the other two children in the car.

“Don’t leave your kids in the car,” Gillia said. “It’s not worth it. Don’t leave your keys in the car. You know, I told my kids to lock the door — but one, it’s not their fault. It’s not their responsibility.” Fox 13 Memphis reported.
