Gretchen Whitmer’s presidential aspirations may have died this week. The Michigan governor was in Munich for the security conference, along with other Democrat hopefuls.
At one point, she was asked about the future of Ukraine and she completely bombed the answer, while saying that other people like AOC know more about foreign policy than she does.
If you saw AOC’s shining moment from this event, you know how bad it is for Whitmer to claim she knows even less than AOC does.
The moderator asks: “On Ukraine, what does victory look like?
Whitmer responds: “The two that I am on the panel with are much more steeped in foreign policy than a Governor is.”
“I do think that Ukraine’s independence, keeping their land mass and having the support of all the allies, I think, is the goal.”

The reason so many Democrats sound like idiots on these questions is because they are coddled by the media. They never get tough questions, so when it finally happens, they’re completely unprepared.
During a “foreign policy” panel in Munich, Gretchen Whitmer said AOC knew more about foreign policy than her. She struggled to answer about Ukraine and even looked to a Trump ambassador for an answer.

Why do AOC and Whitmer sound like babbling idiots when they seek to defend their positions against even the slightest criticism? Because they have never had to. In all the rooms and meetings they’ve experienced, their nonsense is greeted with grins and finger snaps of approval.
The danger here is of the highest order because we may be electing socialists who literally do not know how to make things work. Zany Zohran Mamdani has been mayor of New York City for just over a month. He couldn’t handle the snow, he can’t remove the trash and people are freezing to death on the streets.
The sad bottom line is that the American left, which has taken over the Democratic Party, has no true intellectual underpinnings. Like Seinfeld, it is ultimately a political ideology about nothing and the clearest danger to American values that exists today.
That answer from Whitmer is probably going to appear in campaign ads. So will AOC’s word salad.
