Conservative CNN contributor Scott Jennings dropped a massive reality check on Democrats last week that perfectly explains their political misfortune during the Trump era.
On Friday night, Abby Phillip moderated a panel featuring Jennings and mostly liberal guests to discuss the upcoming testimony from Bill and Hillary Clinton on the Epstein Files. They only agreed to testify before the Oversight Committee after Chairman James Comer moved forward in holding them in criminal contempt of Congress.
Phillip shared a video clip of Trump, weighing in on the situation. He said he was “bothered” by the idea of Bill Clinton testifying, while also expressing that he still likes the 42nd President despite their political differences and occasional squabbles.
She then went around the panel, asking why Trump sometimes took the high road with Slick Willie.
When it was Jennings’ turn to speak, he had a truth bomb to share that Democrats won’t like.

PHILLIP: Do you have any idea why Trump is so (unintelligible) with Bill Clinton?
JENNINGS: One thing Trump’s got in common with Bill Clinton: We got all of his voters now.
All the good ol’ boy union Dems that voted for Bill Clinton in middle America, they now vote for Donald Trump.
That is one connection in history that you will never be able to shake.
All these blue-collar, non-college working-class guys from West Kentucky and other places in middle America, where I’m from: they were the biggest Clinton people I knew.
Now, they love Trump; they’ve abandoned the Democratic Party.
And the reason why these voters abandoned the party is that Trump spoke to their economic and cultural concerns while Democrats went all in on woke, far-left politics.
It will likely take at least one generation for these voters to open themselves back up to the Democrats, if they ever do.
