Yellow 2120, the perpetually ‘homeless’ bear, is on the move, again.
A California bear that’s become famous (and infamous) is at it again.
After stealing the headlines for occupying the crawl space of an Altadena man’s house for over a month, the bear, known as Yellow 2120, has shown its predilection for ‘cozy’ under-house spaces.
A picky bear is on the move again after trying to hibernate in three different Altadena homes. The 550-pound beast was evicted from under one home last week. ABC30 reports:
“Last week, the BEAR League from Lake Tahoe traveled to the area to help the Altadena homeowner remove the bear using paintballs to scare him out of the crawl space. They then placed an electrified doormat to block the entrance.”
California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) unsuccessfully tried multiple times to get the bear out.
“On Tuesday, the nonprofit shared that the bear went into the crawl space of another Altadena home after being evicted. He stayed there for one day before moving to a third home.
The BEAR League also assisted the third family, placing the electrical mats to spook the 550-pound black bear out of the area.”

Yellow 2120 left after three days, and has not (yet) returned, according to the nonprofit.
