Right-wingers must unite to save the United Kingdom.
The latest UK poll numbers from Find Out Now (from early December) show Reform with 29%, Labour 19.4%, followed by Conservatives with 18.4% and Greens 13.8%.
These numbers show that a rightwing coalition uniting Reform UK and Tories would be an unstoppable force, capable of sending leftists from Labour and Green parties to the opposition.
Up until now, this seemed like an impossible proposition, because the Tories, being the most successful party in the western world, would not be contented with a secondary role to the poll leaders from Reform UK.
But things appear to be changing, as a senior Conservative MP has ‘opened the door’ to a coalition with Reform UK before the next election.
The Telegraph reported:
“Matt Vickers, the deputy Tory chairman, told a presenter to ‘come back and ask’ about a pact before the general election in 2029 if his party’s fortunes had not improved.
Kemi Badenoch, the Conservative leader, has ruled out an outright coalition with Nigel Farage’s party, but many Tory MPs expect either an unofficial pact before polling day or a formal joint ticket.”
Sky News host Trevor Phillips asked Vickers if he would consider a pact to ‘unite the Right’, he insisted that Tories will bounce back – which at this point doesn’t appear very likely.
“However, asked again whether he would ‘lumber the nation with another five years of Starmer’ because of a refusal to ‘swallow your pride’ and work with Reform, Mr. Vickers suggested the position could change closer to polling day.
‘Well, if I’m wrong and we’re stuck in that situation, you can come back and ask me then, but I’m going to concentrate on delivering that Conservative majority’.”
