Breaking update: NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, his wife, and children were onboard the plane when it crashed, according to WAME Radio.
“Unfortunately, I can confirm Greg Biffle, his wife Cristina, and son Ryder were on that plane… because they were on their way to spend the afternoon with us.” We are devastated. I’m so sorry to share this,” Biffle’s friend Garrett Mitchell wrote on Facebook.

A huge fireball erupted after a private jet owned by NASCAR driver Greg Biffle crashed at a North Carolina airport on Thursday morning.
According to the FAA, the Cessna C550 plane crashed at Statesville Regional Airport at 10:15 am.
The plane is owned by NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, according to public records,” WWAY reported.
It is unclear how many people were on the plane when it crashed. Multiple fatalities were reported.

The Cessna C550 airplane crashed at Statesville Regional Airport around 10:15 a.m. on Dec. 18.
