

The person of interest connected to the Brown University shooting seen in the grainy surveillance video released by Providence Police has been identified, according to CBS News.
The search for the man seen in the surveillance videos is still underway.

A person of interest has been identified in the shooting at Brown University that killed two students and wounded nine others, multiple sources familiar with the investigation told CBS News on Thursday.
Law enforcement has identified the person who has been seen in grainy surveillance footage, and a search for that individual is underway, the sources said.
A video released on Tuesday, though blurry, was the clearest picture of the person of interest released so far. The image appeared to be digitally enhanced.
John Mulvaney, an FBI veteran of 26 years and the managing director of CBIZ Forensix Consulting Group, told CBS News Boston the footage appeared to show the person of interest “casing the neighborhood.”
Two students were killed and nine others critically injured after a gunman opened fire at Brown University on Saturday afternoon.
Law enforcement on Tuesday released a new timeline and footage of a person of interest in the deadly Brown University shooting.
The footage shows a portly male walking past police just minutes after the shooting that left two people dead.
Police also released enhanced footage of the masked person of interest walking on the sidewalk.
