President Trump on Saturday released a statement on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) resignation from Congress, effective next January, slamming her, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), and Senator Rand Paul, while still expressing appreciation for her.
“Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown,’ he said, because of PLUMMETING Poll Numbers, and not wanting to face a Primary Challenger with a strong Trump Endorsement (where she would have no chance of winning!), has decided to call it ‘quits.’”
“For some reason, primarily that I refused to return her never ending barrage of phone calls, Marjorie went BAD,” he continued after bashing her alliance with Thomas Massie, who he likened to Rand Paul.
“Nevertheless, I will always appreciate Marjorie, and thank her for her service to our Country! President DJT”
It should be noted that Marjorie Taylor Greene boasts a 100% score and “A” rating on the Conservative Review’s Liberty Score chart and a 92% lifetime score on the Heritage Action scorecard. Not all of Trump’s endorsed congress members can say the same.
For example, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who has attacked Trump many times over the years but the President has doubled down on support for, fails both tests with a 43% Liberty score and 56% on the Heritage Action scorecard.

This comes after Trump told a reporter that Greene’s resignation from Congress is “great news for the country.”
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Marjorie Taylor Greene released a nearly 11-minute video on Friday, explaining her decision to resign from Congress in January.
This comes after Trump disavowed her numerous times in recent weeks following her bipartisan push to release the Epstein files, which Trump ultimately supported and signed into law on Wednesday.
“I have too much self-respect and dignity, love my family way too much, and do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms,” Greene said in her announcement.
“If I am cast aside by MAGA Inc and replaced by Neocons, Big Pharma, Big Tech, Military Industrial War Complex, foreign leaders, and the elite donor class that can’t even relate to real Americans, then many common Americans have been cast aside and replaced as well.”
