White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will deliver a press briefing this afternoon, following the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which President Trump signed yesterday.
Trump released a lengthy statement on Wednesday evening announcing that he signed the bill into law.
“Perhaps the truth about these Democrats, and their associations with Jeffrey Epstein, will soon be revealed, because I HAVE JUST SIGNED THE BILL TO RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!” President Trump said.
“For years our Great Nation has had to endure RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, IMPEACHMENT HOAX #1, IMPEACHMENT HOAX #2, and many other Democrat created Witch Hunts and Scams, all of which have been so terrible and divisive for our Country, and have been done to confuse, deflect, and distract from the GREAT JOB that Republicans, and the Trump Administration, are doing,” the President continued.
“This latest Hoax will backfire on the Democrats just as all of the rest have! Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!“
Attorney General Pam Bondi told reporters she would comply with the law and release the files within 30 days.

This follows a reversal from Trump calling on his supporters to forger about the “hoax” earlier this year.
Trump has since changed his tune, still referring to it as a hoax, but now stating, “We have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our recent Victory on the Democrat ‘Shutdown.’”
The press briefing is scheduled to begin at 1 pm ET.
