‘Here We Go!’: Trump Weighs In on Russian Drones Allegedly Downed in Polish Airspace

Russian Gerbera decoy drone allegedly downed over Poland airspace. Social media/Telegram.

Accident or escalation?

As we have reported here on TGP late last night, a small number of Russian drones allegedly violated Polish airspace during last night’s air raid on western Ukraine targets.

Warsaw International Airport was closed, and Polish air force jets were scrambled to tackle the threat, with additional NATO planes also deployed.

It soon became apparent that it was NOT an attack, since all of the drones shown by Polish press so far consisted of non-armed Gerbera decoy drones, not the heavily armed Geraniums that are wreaking havoc to Ukrainian defenses.

Warmongers such as Kiev regime head Volodymyr Zelensky, failing French President Emmanuel Macron and German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius took the opportunity to try to bang war drums to escalate the situation.

US President Donald J. Trump, who refused to comment yesterday on the subject, posted to Truth Social today:

On the Russian Telegram channels, the explanations for the incident include: spoofing of GPS signal which can makes things appear on radar where there is nothing; False flag, since Ukraine is very low on AD missiles; Electronic Warfare sending drones off course; a message being sent; Faulty drones.

If this was meant as an attack, the number of drones would be much greater, and there would be widespread destruction of military targets, as we see happening in Ukraine.

Poland immediately announced an accelerated call-up of reservists to the territorial defense forces, with members of the reserve expected to show up and perform tasks within ‘6-12 HOURS’.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk also took to X to comment and inform of the government actions:

Belarus Ministry of Defense said drones drifted off course due to electronic warfare.

“During the nighttime mutual exchange of strikes with unmanned aerial vehicles between Russia and Ukraine, the duty forces and air defense means of the Republic of Belarus continuously tracked drones that lost their course due to the electronic warfare measures of the parties.”

Watch: Belarusian MoD spokesman:

DRONES DRIFTED OFF COURSE DUE TO ELECTRONIC WARFARE.

Poland and Belarus cooperated and exchanged information about drones that went off course into their territory!

As for the Russians, the Ministry of Defense stated that no targets for destruction on Polish territory were planned.

Sputnik reported:

“The maximum range of the Russian UAVs used in the strike, which allegedly crossed the border into Poland, does not exceed 700 km.

[…] The Russian Defense Ministry is ready to hold consultations with Polish Defense Ministry on the issue of drones allegedly crossing the Polish border.”

According to Moscow, the massive strike targeted Ukrainian defense industry enterprises in the Ivano-Frankovsk, Khmelnytsky, and Zhytomyr regions, as well as in the cities of Vinnytsa and Lvov.

Another Gerbera on the ground in Poland.

In the meantime, it arises that Poland will ask NATO to invoke Article 4, that allows a member country to request consultations, while under Article 5, an attack on one NATO member is considered an attack on the entire Alliance.

In a meeting taking place today, NATO will discuss how to respond to the UAV incursion.

Finnish professor Malinen, from the University of Helsink:

If you think Russia would fly drones into a NATO country to escalate further, you’re an idiot.

It does not matter whether you believe in the “Russia is winning” or “Russia is losing” narrative. Picking up a fight with NATO directly makes absolutely no sense in either case.
