Another foundation trouble for prodigal Prince Harry.
Ever since Prince Harry stepped out as a working royal and took his family to woke California, his life has become mired in controversy, and his work at different charities is suffering.
Back in March, the Duke of Sussex had to leave the African Sentebale foundation over a very public clash with the Chairwoman – a dispute that is still ongoing.
And now, reports arise that Harry may have to step away from his patronage of the Invictus Games that he founded in 2014.
Her is reportedly ‘no longer seen as beneficial to the charity as he once was’.
New York Post reported:
“According to those close to the situation, Harry’s approach and divisive reputation in the UK stands in the way of his legacy at the foundation.
‘The duke has become an increasingly divisive figure, particularly in the Armed Forces’, a source told the [Daily Mail]. ‘And that is not good for Invictus’.
‘We are all about bringing people together and inspiring those who have suffered hardship. Now, Invictus is firmly established, it might be better if the duke took a step back.’”
Other members from the Royal Family could fill in if Harry departs the foundation.
“If Harry were to resign as patron of Invictus, I’m sure they would have no trouble finding a new royal patron,” an insider told the outlet.
The next Invictus Games is set to take place in Birmingham, England in 2027. It’s been reported that the ‘Spare’ author has extended invitations to several senior royals.”
Daily Mail reported:
“’Anything associated with Harry was great,’ Richard [Eden, the Daily Mail’s Diary Editor] said. ‘He was the most popular member of the royal family and it guaranteed positive publicity.’
However, using the example of Sentebale, a charity the Duke of Sussex founded in 2006, Richard said that is ‘not the case anymore’.
He said: ‘What we saw with Sentebale and what we heard from its chairman Sophie Chandauka was that actually that’s not the case anymore.
‘[Chandauka] said that people and potential sponsors didn’t want to be associated with Sentebale anymore because she claimed Harry had become a ‘toxic’ brand – the same as Meghan.’”
