Three political reporters have revealed what President Trump said to Barack Obama that caused the first black president to crack up in laughter during Jimmy Carter’s funeral.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, a national funeral service was held for former President Jimmy Carter, who passed away at the age of 100, at Washington National Cathedral back in January.
During the funeral, a stunning sight quickly emerged. C-SPAN captured footage of Trump and Obama sitting next to each other, sharing a friendly chat for a few brief moments.
At one point, Obama burst out laughing at something Trump said. This caused the intrigue to skyrocket considering Obama’s well-known negative feelings toward the current president.
Things got more interesting when Kamala Harris, sitting in front of the two men, noticed the new ‘bromance.’
Once Harris turned around to see Obama and Trump yapping, she became miserable, perhaps sensing they were making fun of her.
The good news for Harris is they were not talking about her at all, but her reaction was still understandable. Axios obtained a snippet from “2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America,” a book by Josh Dawsey, Tyler Pager and Isaac Arnsdorf, which revealed that Trump asked his first predecessor to join him for a game of golf and described the courses he held all around the world.
“He sat next to Barack Obama and invited him to play golf, enticing him with descriptions of Trump’s courses around the world,” the passage reads.
As the Daily Mail notes, Trump owns 15 golf courses around the world with 11 of them in America.
He also owns two in Scotland, one in Ireland and one in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Obama could had his choice of any of these incredible venues in a showdown of the ages between two political titans.
But for whatever reason, Obama did not take Trump up on his offer. Was he was scared of losing or did his wife put the kibosh on what would have been a historic event?
