Scott Jennings, a lone voice of reason on CNN, discussed the disastrous reality of what will happen to New York City if radical socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is elected.
Mamdani has come under fire for his plans to fund his radical transformation of the city by hiking property taxes for “richer and whiter neighborhoods.’
Mamdani has also waged a longstanding campaign aimed at defunding the New York Police Department, which he claims is designed to “control black, brown and poor New Yorkers.”
He has also stated that defunding the police is “essential” for the cause of “queer liberation” because law enforcement is complicit in aiding a “violent, right-wing government” in persecuting minorities.

CNN’s Omar Jimenez tried to downplay the dangerous plans, but Jennings didn’t back down.
Jennings: Nobody’s going to be able to walk Manhattan after he defunds the New York City Police Department, Maria. I wouldn’t advise walking Manhattan after he gets rid of the police force.
Jimenez: Mamdani advocated for defunding NYPD in 2020. He since said his goal is reform, not defunding. Then also just-
Jennings: You guys are doing that again. It’s the whole Harris playbook.
Jimenez: Just one more point of order. He just said he didn’t want to tax white people specifically, just higher-income neighborhoods that do happen to be majority white.
Jennings: He literally wrote a good statement, Omar. He literally wrote it down. Are you letting him get off the hook for that?
Jimenez: I’m saying that he said that, but not on the basis of race, specifically. I’m not saying he didn’t say that. He did say that, but not on the basis of race, specifically. Scott.
