Rep. Greg Steube (R‑Fla.) took the mound and was unhittable, firing seven strikeouts over five strong innings, all while trolling that he plans to “take an ice bath tomorrow.”
Rep. August Pfluger (R‑Texas) snagged the MVP award for a jaw‑dropping, diving catch at third base in the first inning — a play that single‑handedly turned momentum and went viral.

The GOP erupted for five runs in the fourth and another eight runs spanning the fifth and sixth, including a two‑run double by Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R‑Ind.), sealing the Democractic doom.
This decisive 13‑2 victory furthers the Republicans’ impressive streak, pushing their all‑time series record to 47–42 in their favor.
Since 2021, the GOP has dominated: 2021 (13–12), 2022 (10–0), 2023 (16–6), 2024 (31–11)—and now this latest lopsided triumph.
Fox News reported:
The Republicans scored their first run in the second inning on a throwing error by the Democrat defense. The GOP pushed its lead up to 5-0 with a rally in the third inning, before Democrats slowly closed the deficit at 5-2.
However, the Republicans blew the game open in the fourth inning when they scored five runs to take a 10-2 lead.
Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind., broke out the Trump dance when he seemingly put the game out of reach for the Democrats with a two-run double in the fifth inning.
In the sixth inning, the GOP added two more runs on a double.
Sen. Joni Earnst, R-Iowa, then came into the game as a pinch runner to be the first woman playing in the game. Ernst then came around to score to make the game 13-2.
