It appears that AI is rapidly advancing almost daily. War Room’s Steve Bannon discussed with Patrick Wood of Technocracy News how fast AI will continue to advance in the coming years.
“Talk to me about technocracy and transhumanism. Where do you think we stand right now? AI is moving down a path which is only one part of transhumanism. Much more rapidly I think people anticipated,” Bannon asked.
“By the time that Trump is out of office by the way, probably the power of AI, the capability of AI is going to increase probably 10 thousand to 15 thousand times where it is right now. This is the trajectory that AI is on right now,” Wood said.
“We probably are very, very close to AGI, that is general intelligence and you know at this point, all bets are off,” Wood continued.
“AI is the pinnacle of weapon development for technocrats all around the world,” Wood said.
“What is your assessment of that?” Bannon asked Wood regarding minimal regulations for AI development.
“There has been a concerted effort over the years to relax or remove regulations for this whole sector of AI,” Wood said.
“When AI at this point, can escape scrutiny from the Congress and other State Legislatures around the country, you know something bad is going to happen,” Wood continued.
Bannon and Wood had also talked about society not being ready for such drastic changes in technology. Wood had explained that most people don’t really understand what is taking place.
“Do you think society is ready for that? Is this Constitutional Republic ready for that?” Bannon asked regarding AI’s exponentially growing strength.
“They are not. They have no clue, but by in large, they have no clue,” Wood said.
“Conservative estimates at this point that AI is like doubling in its prowess every four months or so,” Wood warned.
“You’re right, it’s gonna be overwhelming for most people to understand what’s going on. For some people, it’s gonna appear like magic, honestly, but they will have no way will they understand it all,” Wood continued.
