The US Secret Service on Sunday released a statement with more information about the illegal alien who stole DHS Chief Kristi Noem’s purse.
On Saturday it was reported that an illegal alien was arrested for robbing Kristi Noem on Easter.
Secret Service spox Anthony Guglielmi released an update on the suspect arrested in connection with the robbery.
Guglielmi said the illegal alien is a “serial offender” who has been in this country for years.
“Following a comprehensive investigation, the Secret Service alleges that the defendant is a serial offender. We have also determined that this incident had no protective nexus to Secretary Noem or her role as Secretary of Homeland Security. The investigation revealed alleged criminal activity, including potential device and credit card fraud. Given this, the Secret Service will maintain jurisdiction over the case and intends to present its findings to a federal court in coordination with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia,” Guglielmi said.

The masked illegal snatched Noem’s Gucci bag while she dined at a restaurant with her children and grandchildren in high-crime Washington, DC, on Easter Sunday.
The thief took off with the purse, which included $3,000 in cash, her passport, apartment keys, DHS badge, and other valuables. The bag reportedly contained a $600 Louis Vuitton Clemence Purse.
Last week Secretary Noem recently spoke out on the incident on the “VINCE Show,” where she said, “It was very professionally done.”
Noem said the robber kicked her purse, dropped a coat over it, and carried it away. She said she thought her grandkids were kicking her feet when the thief snatched her purse.
“It was kind of shocking, actually, because it was sitting right by my feet. I actually felt my purse, he hooked it with his foot and drug it a few steps away and dropped a coat over it and took it,” Kristi Noem said on the “VINCE Show,” according to Fox News.
“I felt it, but I thought it was my grandkids kicking me in the legs. But it was very professionally done, and it tells that this happens all the time to people and that they live in communities where this is a danger and it reaffirms why I am here,” she added. “My job is to make sure that I do everything, every day I can to make our communities safer and President Trump recognizes that families shouldn’t have to live with any kind of violence in their lives.”
