British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has twisted the knife on the global trans lobby.
Days after the UK Supreme Court ruled that the term “woman” refers only to biological women, Starmer has admitted that he agrees with the ruling.
Asked if Starmer still believed that a transgender woman were real women, a Downing Street spokesman made clear that he did not.
“No, the Supreme Court judgment has made clear that when looking at the Equality Act, a woman is a biological woman.”
“That is set out clearly by the court judgment.”
Starmer’s position has changed since he gave an interview to The Times in March 2022, where he explained that “a woman is a female adult, and in addition to that transwomen are women, and that is not just my view – that is actually the law”.
Patrick Hodge, deputy president of the Supreme Court, was emphatic as he delivered his judgment last week.
“The unanimous decision of this court is that the terms woman and sex in the Equality Act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex,” he declared.

“Therefore, a person with a Gender Recognition Certificate in the female gender does not come within the definition of a ‘woman’ under the Equality Act 2010 and the statutory guidance issued by the Scottish ministers is incorrect,” he continued.
The Labour government accepted the ruling, stating that it had given “clarity and confidence” for women on the issue of single-sex spaces.
“Single-sex spaces are protected in law and will always be protected by this government,” a spokesperson said in a statement following the ruling.
Transgender activists descended on central London on Saturday to protest the ruling, where they vandalized a statue of South African leader Nelson Mandela and called for the hanging of the gender-critical Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.
Statues of Sir Robert Peel, Benjamin Disraeli, and the suffragist Millicent Fawcett were also defaced during the demonstrations, which were held in Parliament Square just ouside the Houses of Parliament.
