The radical-left ‘reporter’ who started a national firestorm over leaking a signal chat group of Trump Administration officials and called a liar has now attempted to call their bluff. But his effort blew up in his face with an accidental admission proving the critics right.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Jeffrey Goldberg, the leftist anti-Trump editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, claimed without evidence that he was “accidentally” added to a secure Signal group chat by National Security Adviser Mike Waltz where top Trump administration officials discussed sensitive military operations against Iran-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen and called them “war plans.”
Goldberg said that Waltz, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Vice President JD Vance were among the heavy hitters in the so-called “Houthi PC small group,” discussing plans to deliver a long-overdue smackdown to the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.
But instead of simply excusing himself from the conversation, Goldberg did what deep-state, Trump-hating reporters do best: he took screenshots of the conversation and ran to his keyboard to try to leak the military operation.
Team Trump angrily fired back and called Goldberg a liar, saying no war plans were discussed. Now, Goldberg and his co-worker Shane Harris have published details of the military plans against the Houthis to call Team Trump’s bluff and humiliate Trump.
LOOK:

However, astute TGP readers will note that Goldberg called these details “war plans” to ensure maximum media coverage. He wanted readers to believe he had obtained top-secret military information and was doing the nation a favor by not leaking it.

Now he is calling the leaks “attack plans.”

The White House responded to the leak with fire. Also, key staffers noted the far-left outlet’s inadvertent confession, which proved Goldberg helped orchestrate another hoax designed to damage the Trump administration.
“The Atlantic has conceded: these were NOT “war plans,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt wrote. “This entire story was another hoax written by a Trump-hater who is well-known for his sensationalist spin.”

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Taylor Budowich used more colorful language while echoing Leavitt.
“The Atlantic has already abandoned their bullsh*t “war plans” narrative, and in releasing the full chat, they concede they LIED to perpetuate yet ANOTHER hoax on the American people,” Budowich wrote.
“What scumbags!”

“The Atlantic beclowns itself as they concede— by releasing this— that no “war planning” was going on as they had falsely alleged,” added Steven Cheung, Assistant to the President & White House Director of Communications. “Sounds like some terrorists had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.”

None of this should come as a surprise. As Jim Hoft notes, Goldberg’s track record is a laundry list of anti-Trump hoaxes, from the debunked “suckers and losers” fabrication to his relentless Russia collusion fantasies.
A stunt like this should end Goldberg’s writing career for good. However, he is more likely to get a Pulitzer out of this because narrative matters more than truth in corporate media journalism today.
