It’s the feature of our days that the Intelligence services from powerful nations, be it the CIA, MI6 or Mossad, have much more public exposure than in the old days of the Cold War.
With the Russian SVR, heir to the famed – and infamous – KGB, it’s no different. Today (10), the foreign intelligence agency stepped up Moscow’s criticism of the British government, stating that London sees Russian-U.S. dialogue on Ukraine ‘as a threat to its interests’.
The UK is the main ‘instigator’ of the global conflict, according to the SVR.
This comes in the same day as Russia expels two British diplomats accused of being involved in espionage.
Sputnik reported on the statements by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service:
“The UK is extremely irritated that US President Donald Trump is conducting dialogue with Russia as a superpower and demonstrating disdain for its closest allies.
UK PM Keir Starmer’s cabinet is going out of its way to strengthen Kiev’s resistance to increasing pressure from Washington.
The UK believes that the loss of Ukraine will undermine plans to create a network of limitrophe states in Europe and a naval blockade of Russia.”

The UK, according to the Russian spies, fears that dialogue between Russia and the US will ‘lead to a failure of UK’s strategy of containing Moscow’.
Starmer and his cabinet consider it a maximum priority to undermine the Trump administration’s peacekeeping efforts.
The Sun reported:
“The […] Kremlin agency said: ‘As we can see, London today, just as it did on the eve of both world wars of the last century, acts as the main instigator of the global conflict’.
