In a continuing escalation, the racist South African government is investigating minority civil rights group AfriForum for “high treason” for going to Washington to meet with the Trump administration and members of the United States Congress. Speaking to Afrikaner activist Ernst Roets, X host Tucker Carlson came out in favor of an Afrikaner homeland.

The Gateway Pundit reported that U.S. President Donald Trump halted foreign aid to South Africa on February 7th and offered “resettlement” to South Africans affected by the ANC government’s racist Expropriation Act.
Last week, a delegation from Afrikaner civil society groups Solidarity and AfriForum came to Washington DC and met with officials at the White House and Congress.
Now apparently, South Africa’s “Hawks” organized crime unit is investigating the Afrikaner activists for “high treason” and economic sabotage, a charge that could carry a lengthy prison sentence. Afrikaner separatists convicted of high treason have been sentenced to prison terms ranging from 5 to 35 years.
“There are no legal grounds for the charges of treason that have been brought against AfriForum. That is why Kallie Kriel, CEO of AfriForum, says he will not lose any sleep over it, and this civil rights organization is ready for the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (the Hawks) to investigate these charges. Kriel responded this afternoon, South African time, from the US to the news that the Hawks are now investigating four charges of treason against AfriForum”, AfriForum stated.
Kriel was part of a delegation from AfriForum, Solidarity, and the Solidarity Movement that has been meeting with politicians and other role players in the US since last week to promote the interests of Afrikaners and South Africa.

“There are simply no legal grounds for the charges, but should the state decide to continue with their actions against AfriForum, it will strengthen our position as it will show that there are indeed ANC leaders who abuse their power to govern against certain sections of the population,” explains Kriel.
He maintains that this abuse takes place while ANC leaders who have been implicated in corruption go untouched.

Kriel emphasized that any potential court case will provide AfriForum with the platform to show how disloyal ANC leaders behave towards ordinary people of the country by gambling with the country’s future. According to Kriel, this is done through reckless policies such as the Expropriation Act, the Basic Education Act Amendment Act (Bela), racial discrimination ,and a careless foreign policy.
They stated that AfriForum has not yet received any official notice of the Hawks’ investigation. Meanwhile, the delegation to the US continues their discussions with key players this week, who are currently visiting Los Angeles.
Speaking to former AfriForum activist Ernst Roets, Tucker Carlson said it makes no sense that Afrikaners can’t have a homeland to themselves in a country divided into ethnic regions such as KwaZulu Natal province and the largely Xhosa Eastern Cape province. “Every other group in the world has the right to its own homeland except white people,” Carlson said.

Writing for the Hudson Institute, Joshua Meservey urged the Trump administration not to target the country as a whole, but specific high-ranking ANC members with “visa bans and sanctions”, calling South Africa “a target-rich environment” since the ANC is one of Africa’s most corrupt organizations.
“A little digging may reveal links between specific ANC officials and sanctioned Russian oligarchs. It is a matter of public record that the ANC accepted funds from one such oligarch, Viktor Vekselberg, making officials involved in that process vulnerable to secondary sanctions,” Meservey writes.
“The terrorist financing that flows from and through South Africa could also serve as the basis for sanctions. For example, the country is a hub for Islamic State (ISIS) financing. Funding has also flowed through the country to Hamas and Hezbollah.
South Africa’s role in terror financing is so significant that in 2022, the US Treasury Department sanctioned four South Africa–based ISIS financiers. The Financial Action Task Force subsequently placed South Africa on its grey list over the country’s inadequate action on terrorism financing and money laundering. Given the ANC’s involvement in almost every possible stream of corruption, it is plausible that some of its officials are guilty here as well”, Meservey writes.
