The racist ideology of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is dying a slow and painful death.
According to Axios, Mark Zuckerberg has taken the decision to scrap all of Meta’s DEI programs and return to meritocratic based hiring practices.
In a memo sent out to employees by Janelle Gale, Meta’s vice president of Human Resources, she confirmed changes to the company’s “hiring, development and procurement practices.”
She explained:
The legal and policy landscape surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in the United States is changing. The Supreme Court of the United States has recently made decisions signaling a shift in how courts will approach DEI.
The term ‘DEI’ has also become charged, in part because it is understood by some as a practice that suggests preferential treatment of some groups over others.
Meta has the privilege to serve billions of people every day, It’s important to us that our products are accessible to all, and are useful in promoting economic growth and opportunity around the world.
We continue to be focused on serving everyone, and building a multi-talented, industry-leading workforce from all walks of life.
Among the proposed changes include cutting the company’s entire DEI team, ending all equity and inclusion programs and no longer requiring suppliers to meet diversity quotas and targets.
The move will come as a massive blow to progressives, with Meta being the largest company in America to announce an end to all its DEI programs, which are designed to discriminate against white and sometimes Asian applicants.
It is also further evidence of Mark Zuckerberg’s determination to repair relations with Donald Trump and the conservative movement that his company has systematically censored and persecuted over the past decade.
Earlier this week, Zuckerberg announced that he had appointed UFC President and fervent Trump supporter Dana White to the company’s board.
White was also a vocal supporter of Trump during his 2024 campaign, speaking at the Republican National Convention in the summer and addressing the crowd during Trump’s election-night victory speech.

That decision came just days after firing Nick Clegg, who was serving as the company’s president for global affairs, and replaced him with Joel Kaplan, a longtime Republican operative.
Clegg, a former British deputy prime minister and leader of the left-wing Liberal Democrats, was said to have been central to the decision to ban Trump from the platform following the January 6th protests in 2021.
Following Trump’s stunning election victory, Zuckerberg visited him at Mar-a-Lago and later agreed to donate $1 million to his inauguration fund.
